Khensur Rinpoche Lobsang Tenzin, Geshe Wangdak, will be giving a lecture on the Four Noble Truths this Thursday, Aug. 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Channing Memorial Church hall at 135 Pelham St. in Newport.

The Four Noble Truths is a very important topic, according to the Dali Lama. because without properly knowing and understanding them, one cannot understand the basic message of the Buddha and, therefore, cannot properly take refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma and the Sangha.

The Venerable Rinpoche is the retired Abbott of the Namgyal Monastery in Dharamsala, India, founded by the Dalai Lama.
